James Young

James Young is a Missouri native who escaped small town life via an appointment to the United States Military Academy.  After completing his service in the Army, Mr. Young moved to Kansas to pursue his doctorate in U.S. History.  Fiction is his first love, and he is currently the author of the Usurper’s War (alternate history), Vergassy Chronicles (space opera), and Scythefall (apocalyptic fiction) series, all of which are available via Amazon or Createspace.  Currently living in the Midwest with his loving spouse, Mr. Young spends his time completing his dissertation while plotting new, interesting ways to torment characters and readers alike.

As a non-fiction author,  Mr. Young has won the 2016 United States Naval Institute’s Cyberwarfare Essay contest and the U.S. Armor Center’s Draper Award for a battle analysis of the Golan Heights.  He has been published in Proceedings, the Journal of Military History (“The Heights of Ineptitude”), and placed in the James A. Adams Cold War Essay Contest.

Susanne L. Lambdin

Susanne L. Lambdin (born 1962, Wichita, Kansas) is better known for her 'based in part' writing credit for Star Trek: The Next Generation Eps. 76 "Family" - remember when Wesley Crusher met his father on the holodeck when he turned 18 years of age? This was Susanne's story sold to Star Trek in 1990. Since then she's dedicated herself to writing fiction.

Having worked for Paramount Pictures from 1986 thru 1994, she beamed home to spend time with her family and to write fiction. Her genres includes horror, supernatural, action/adventure, high fantasy, Gothic and historical romance, steampunk, and sci-fi (of course).

Realm of Magic: Seeker of Magic is the first fantasy/supernatural novel in her new trilogy. Follow the adventures of Taliesin, Mistress of the Raven Clan, on the search for the most powerful magical sword in the realm - it's up to Taliesin to end a civil war and restore magic to a realm where it is outlawed by the king. If you want to read about female characters, then this is the series for you.

Her Dead Hearts Novel series involves teenagers fighting zombies in the Colorado Rockies, and her knowledge of zombies has won her the name of The Zombie Lady among her fans. Five books are published in this series: Morbid Hearts (published in 2012, on the Watermark Books Bestseller List), Forsaken Hearts, Vengeful Hearts, Defiant Hearts and Immortal Hearts.

Authors that inspired her as a child: Edgar Rice Burroughs, JR Tolkien, Anne Rice, Frank Yerby, and Marion Zimmer Bradley. She claims to have read every book in her elementary school, reading an average of five books a week. She also writes three to four novels a year (that means she has a stockpile).

When not writing, Susanne attends comic cons throughout the United States and sometimes Cosplays (she loves gals with swords). She's also been known to write fanfiction on the side; something she calls 'taking a break'. Her panels on "How to Write Your First Novel", "The Strategies and Tactics of Writing", and "Zombies 101" are fun and informative. Helping young, aspiring authors learn the tricks of the trade, along with offering tips and guidelines, are always a part of her panels. "There's more than enough room in a library for a new novel," she often tells young writers. "Don't get discouraged. You're time will come."

Can Jacob and his small group escape the dome and the blood-thirsty militant factions trapped inside with them? Read Project Nomad to find out!

His next book Legacy of the Purple (Legacy of the Stonewielders) (Volume 1) just released in June 2017! Check out the summary below:

"Founded upon the Mayan Empire, the Stonewielders have long since hidden themselves from the world. When a group of mechanically altered humans discovers their existence, technology clashes against magic, and chaos ensues. Thirty years after the war ends, Daniel Potsay is perfectly content to stay on the sidelines, letting others take care of the lingering effects of the uprising. However, when old factions rise back to the surface, his entire family is drawn into the fight. Innocent or not, he must put everything on the line for them, or risk losing them forever."

The Actors and Producers

Actors and Producers

Jack Voraces

Jack Voraces is an ACX.com narrator and producer based in Birmingham, England, UK. His audiobook narration for Ash to Ashes is NOW AVAILABLE on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon! When he isn't lending his delightful voice to Ashton and friends, Jack stays busy trying to figure out brilliant ways to kick cancer in the face with his research team, practicing wilderness survival techniques with his mates, and spending time with his lovely wife and newborn daughter. A special thanks to Mrs. Voraces who started Jack on the narrator's path by having him read her the "Harry Potter" series. I have to imagine that was a fantastic performance as well.

The Photographers

Photographers

Andee Rettele

Andee Rettele is a professional photographer based out of Fairview, Kansas. In addition to family photos, weddings, and senior pictures, she specializes in getting grumpy bald guys in green sweaters to cooperate and smile for the camera. You may recognize her work from pretty much any area family's wall décor, but specifically you'll find the headshot she did for me in the back cover of Ash to Ashes and just about every promotional website I've put together. Her work even looks great blown up as a giant convention banner! (You know the lady has crazy awesome skills if she can get this mug to look good as a 3 ft x 5 ft print!)

Andee is a joy to work with. She's upbeat, funny, and you can tell she enjoys what she does (even when the morning sky is overcast and it's stupid-chilly pre-winter weather). If you're in the area and looking for a shutterbug for your family and professional needs, I highly recommend Andee.
