T'was Friday Before Christmas as I work on my Blog
I'm drinking ice tea, 'cause I don't like egg nog.
The cats are passed out in their respective chairs,
and in his small corner a teddy bear stares.
I'm still playing Skyrim, saw Star Wars last week,
I might go again, 'cause I'm that big a geek.
But more to the point, I've been writing like mad!
Five chapters this week, which is really not bad!
I've got some great action! My dialogues thrill!
I think my characters are forming free will...
They do what they want; I'm along for the ride.
One threatened my life if I'm not on his side!
My hero's quite charming (he stands three foot four).
*He just found a new way to open a door.*
We won't see Sabrina, or Ashton, or Grum,
but out of this volume new heroes will come!
We've gone to the forest to pick up this tale.
It's got some neat twists so it shouldn't go stale.
What happens when Legends turn out to be real?
Find out when I publish and tell the ordeal!
I'm wrapping this up to get writing once more,

I... oh... oh my. What just happened? That was unexpected. I... I'm just going to have a sit down over here. I think I just got violated by the holiday spirit... Rhyming and poorly counted line rhythms? What is this madness? How incredibly unlike me!
